Half-way working through this theme at the moment, it has taken a direct route from that “mystery” and “detective” style that I initially wrote abote (in my last post) this is due to sheer clarity of the website itself, and being a designer, we change our minds about a design if we dont get it finished in time. Even then we decide we could have done something better and want change.

So I have been busy working on the awesome revamp for Kent Scoobies (Go ahead and visit). You’ll be pleased to hear its running a combined version of Vbulletin and a CMS, which had its old members and inforamtion ported from a PHPbb3 forum that had previously been in place.

There are a few final peices to the Kent Scoobies puzzle to be added, such as the partner and recommended sites banners which will sit within the website design on all pages.

Another website that has been getting some love lately is the A and G Garage Doors website, a great company to deal with, and very nice people if you ever do go ahead and use them. This site is still under evaluation and im not quite happy with the way it looks so consider it very much a Work-In-Progress still.

You should see some changes to this site in the next few days including the much awaited content for the portfolio and photography pages being published.

Time for some Stargate.

I know i know, it has been ages.

Look at this place, no style, no class, no design. Since moving web host wiped out the last site quite well, it has become a digitised post apocalyptic blog around here, but all is not lost, I am writing this late at night (almost 1am) because i have been busy with exciting new projects. And now I have a theme for my own site.

I used to love the concept of spying, being a detective, clues, fingerprints, the little Filofaxes that taught you how to be a real life dick tracy type of guy. Like taping a hair over a drawer to see if anyone had been in it, that kind of stuff.

I can’t remember the name of those little books but if you do let me know on a comment. I’ll just use my degrading childhood memory of the Filofax i had till then.

ps. I haven’t done much design for a while, i know. But I’m sort’a  like Rambo, Ive put that past behind me, but when the need arises, its as easy as breathing, er well sort of.

One thing that I need to point out to you all, never be without FireFox and the FireBug plugin, so many times I speak to budding designers / web developers who don’t use this little tool. Save yourself a few hours of your life and seriously reduce the amount of headaches you have with this great little plug-in.

Well that happened sooner than expected – can you tell?

Turns out the support team on my old hosts (unitedhosting.co.uk) have a pretty fast turn around time. Especially when you cancel.

Anyway with the new blog, comes new design – for now im sticking with the classic theme but I will start to pull my own design together once again, but using wordpress as a platform.
